The role of a Contract Administrator involves managing the contract between the employer and building contractor. This is a role that was historically performed by the architect.

While the role of Contract Administrator can be undertaken by several possible professionals, with the architect traditionally filling the role, the scope of who can be the Contract Administrator has widened to include building surveyors, quantity surveyors, management surveyors and engineers.

We are typically involved in this role where building works are being carried out under JCT Building Contract. Our function would include chairing site meetings, providing contract certification and carrying out valuations of works during the course of the building works on site.

Please contact us should you have a building project in mind where you require assistance in the oversight of a formal building contract.
